An extract: The First Page in Lexi’s Me & You book

It’s January 2014. You are 18 months old and growing into a very very independent little girl. You are starting Daycare next week and I’ve realised you are no longer my baby. For the first 18 months of your life I have been there for you every step of the way and now I need to let you go (just a little) so you can become the person YOU are meant to be. So you can have your own experiences, independent of me. As you start on your own journey you will learn how beautiful and magical this world is. You will learn about fear and pain and how overcoming these will leave you stronger and more fearless. You will learn that everything, good and bad, happens for a reason and that it is our attitude towards these experiences that shapes our lives. I will spend the rest of my life helping you through these lessons, being there to guide you. I hope when I present this to you on your 21st birthday, 19 years from now, that you understand just how much I have loved you and always will.
Love you – always and forever.

I can not recommend the Me & You book highly enough for you to record your history with your daughter. Mine is filled with notes, images, songs lyrics… anything that reminds me of Lexi and my feelings, relationship with her. Very much worth the investment! Get your book here: http://meandyoubook.com/
