Today I was reminded that telling stories isn't always straightforward. I know this, of course, but when working with others I can clearly see how each segue fits into this space there and how THAT moment is the key to your entire story, and what are you trying very hard NOT to say there?

What my kid taught me about stories

What my kid taught me about stories. Imagine this, little three-year-old at the time, wanting a lollipop. If you're a mum, you know you've heard this story. "Mum, I want a lollipop."


What My Littlest Client Taught Me

What my littlest of clients reminded me about emotional connection. So this happened quite a few years ago, I was working with a four year old, maybe five year old at the time doing some photos for her and her mom.


When I Grew Up

So, what did I want to be when I was a kid? Like most kids, I went through a couple of different options. First I was a mechanic. Don't ask me where that came from. Then I'm pretty sure I wanted to be a singer at some stage, running around the backyard singing Disney classics. Come on, we all want to do that


Where Did I Get Started

Where did I start with this whole videography journey? I actually started in the photography field, specifically child and family photography. I learnt how to manipulate light, how to see light and darkness and shadows and how to use them to create beautiful imagery.
